Sam Smith and Marilyn Manson Lead the Mid-Week Round Up

Some songs need to be heard now

Typically, we like to wait for Friday to give music enthusiasts their much needed pick-me-ups for the weekend. However, this week a few artists have dropped singles that should be shared sooner rather than later. This mid-week singles lineup is a shorter list made up of hip-hop, soul and alternative metal tracks eagerly waiting to be heard.

Sam Smith has mastered the art of soulful heart wrenching songs. His voice is spectacular and his lyrics pierce through people’s cold hearts even if they don’t want them to. His latest try, “Too Good At Goodbyes” is another example where Smith shines. In the song, his defenses are up so he doesn’t get hurt again. Too many people have experienced that same agony. Fans will appreciate Smith’s honesty and vulnerability.

Marilyn Manson, though sports unique stage makeup, has always had a massive cult following. His raspy voice screams out words that millions have found themselves either relating to or wanting to party to. Manson has been around for decades terrifying parents whom hope their kids never catch wind of his music. His latest single, “We Know Where You F*cking Live” is the perfect reason why. He’s harsh, he’s brash and he doesn’t care one bit what anyone thinks of him.

A Boogie Wit da Hoodie released a new single, “Beast Mode.” The track comes at listeners fast with an ear-catching haunting background. The song features PnB Rock and YoungBoy Never Broke Again. The collaborators mesh well asa they lay out their rap verses. This is a perfect club banger that’ll take the night to the next level.

And lastly, G-Eazy released another single off of his anticipated album, The Beautiful & Damned, due to release this fall. The song features A$AP Rocky and Cardi B. Each brings an intensity to the song bringing the ante up. Cardi B goes as hard as the boys do, spitting out rhymes with the best of them. G-Eazy rounds things out with his hard-hitting closing verse keeping fans on their toes as they wait for the album.
