Ball Brothers make Lithuanian debut

In their first on-court action in months, the Ball brothers combined for 29 points in an exhibition game. Though they came out of the game confident, their future playing time is still muggy.

Exactly one month after the debut of Hugh Jackman’s The Greatest Showman, the real circus began in a small village in southern Lithuania. In an exhibition game win against the Zalgiris second team (JV squad, basically), brothers LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball scored 19 and 10 points, respectively. This was the brothers’ first on-court action since LiAngelo left UCLA and LaMelo left Chino Hills High School in California.

“As long as we [are] winning and playing like this, this is gonna be fun,” said their father LaVar, who sat courtside with his wife for their sons’ professional debut.

The brothers aren’t expected to see as much playing time as they did in the exhibition as the team returns to league action on Saturday night. Also, still no haircut for LaMelo, which is disappointing.
