Actress/Singer Demetria McKinney recently released the video to her newest single “Easy”. The Saints and Sinners star managed to turn in the visuals for the song right before Valentine’s Day. It’s an anthem for ladies who know their worth and aren’t afraid to speak up for what they deserve while denouncing the title of a “stuck up chick”.
“Easy” seems different from anything that Demetria has put out, at the same time it still stays true to who she is. She demonstrates sultry vocals, coated in pure confidence. Demetria’s confidence is one of her signatures, it’s embedded in her music and always shines through. Just as the title suggests the song is an easy listen. It’s music in its purest form, invoking feeling and movement, but more it importantly it makes a statement.
In the video Demetria herself is a vision of Black Hollywood glamor, but who would know Black Hollywood better than her. Demetria is the featured performer at a celebration that includes visual art, dance, and obviously music. She’s celebrating art and making a statement the importance the artists who constantly shed their blood and sweat to create.
Demetria has been a staple in the entertainment industry for years. She’s acted in a number of films and television programs, but she is mostly known for her role as Tamara Austin in Saints and Sinners and starring as Janine Payne in Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. Demetria was even featured on the popular Bravo reality show The Real Housewives of Atlanta; she collaborated with Kandi Burruss to make the 2015/2016 winter hit “Unnecessary Trouble”.
Over the last couple of years, Demetria has managed to focus more on her music without missing a beat in her acting career. She continues to deliver exceptional music and receives high praises for her work.
