Demi Lovato Shows Her Bad Side On Brazen New Single

It’s an Amazon Prime Day miracle… well not really. Pop singer Demi Lovato surprised fans yesterday with the release of her brand new track, “Sorry Not Sorry,” the lead single off her next studio album.

The 24-year-old songstress teased “Lovatics” with cryptic messages and short samples of her new single, which was released on Amazon and streaming services at the stroke of midnight on July 11th.

The brazenly unapologetic new single is but one of Lovato’s numerous accomplishments this year. Having recently celebrated the five-year anniversary of sobriety, Lovato decided to donate money to help Los Angeles-based charities, E! News said back in March.

She also launched her own charitable athletic wear collection with Fabletics in Spring and was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People.

Lovato first announced plans for her forthcoming sixth studio album in an interview with Billboard back in May.

“My fans can look forward to that,” Lovato said. “It’s more soulful and I want to go more R&B with it.”

Lovato’s new single, “Sorry Not Sorry,” is essentially a giant middle finger to all the haters of the world. It’s an anthemic pop song with an upbeat call-and-respond style chorus and an energetic rhythm that is headed for the top of the Billboard music charts.

The track is the first since Lovato’s fifth studio album, Confident, was released in 2015. Much like the title itself, the album showed a much more focused and self-assured side of her music.

Similarly, her latest work shows she is just as ‘confident’ as ever and no longer gives a fuck what anyone else has to say.

“Feeling so bad, got me feeling so good. Showing you up like you knew that I would.”

If that weren’t enough, Lovato also shared a clip from her new music video on Twitter. The clip shows Lovato hard at work in the recording booth, when all of a sudden, the walls collapse and she is on stage, surrounded by adoring fans. It’s a clever twist which works quite well with the unafraid pop single.

Don’t just take my word for it. Check out this clip from her new music video, “Sorry Not Sorry,” and be sure to stay tuned to Salute Magazine for more.
