Dolce & Gabbana is an immensely talented fashion house, and their designs often leave us drooling. Now you can do a lot more than wear Dolce & Gabbana, you can eat it!
The designer teamed up with Pasta di Martino and designed the packaging for their boxes of spaghetti, paccheri, penne mezzani rigate, and mista corta. Each package features famous Italian landmarks such as the Milan Duomo, a Venice canal, the Colosseum, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
The phrase “La Famiglia, La Pasta, e L’Italia”, or “Family, Pasta, and Italy”, is spread across each product and it all comes inside of a tin container along with a custom Dolce & Gabbana apron.
As reported in Vogue, Giuseppe Di Martino, CEO of Pasta Di Martino, said, every package is “a postcard, a souvenir, a special package with exceptional product inside.”
This food meets fashion collaboration may seem unexpected, but Dolce & Gabbana has been featuring food on their runways lately. For example, this ice cream cone print dress from the Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear Collection looks sweet enough to eat.
The D&G x Pasta Di Martino products are available online and in stores now. Each tin costs $110.
