Despite an entire weekend’s worth of hyperbole and excitement, Drake will not be releasing his new “playlist” More Life within the next day or so.
As a matter of fact, the project is not even done yet according to Drake’s musical mate/ producer Noah “40” Shebib.
Shebib cleverly defused the chatter on Instagram as he congratulated a friend who started a new business.
If that is not the ultimate tag/shoutout, nothing is.
There is little doubt that More Life is coming and coming soon. If anything, everything from the social media trickery to the onstage teases provides clues that there is a plan at hand and Drake’s camp is simply testing the waters to stir up an up frenzy.
Apple Music is partnering with Views conceptualist and has already attached an amended bio to his information.
“Late that year, Drake issued another trio of singles—including “Fake Love”—that heralded the release of his next full length More Life, which included collaborations with Nineteen85, The Weeknd, and Maneesh Biaye as well as Boi-1da.”
“Fake Love,” “Sneakin” and “Two Birds, One Stone” are sample sizes of a bigger puzzle.
What that looks like when all is said and done remains to be seen. But at the end of the day, More Life promises to be something a little bit different.
