Rapper Eminem has always been known for his rather blunt, upfront, uncensored, and in-your-face songwriting. His latest remix of the track “Chloraseptic,” from his album Revival features Philadelphia rapper Phresher and 2 Chainz, and it is certainly no exception. Eminem takes the opportunity to retaliate against critics of his latest album—particularly podcaster Joe Budden, who was recently fired from the podcast Everyday Struggle.
Eminem’s fury with Budden comes from him and several others panning his new album before it or even any of the songs from it had come out. Budden made a video where he shared fan reactions as well as his own to the titles of the songs, judging Eminem and essentially saying at this point in the game he had lost a few steps from when he was younger.
In “Chloraseptic” Eminem fires back at Budden on all cylinders just as angry and unchained as he ever was, saying:
“Not as raw as I was, ‘Walk on Water’ sucks/B****, suck my d***/Y’all saw the tracklist and had a fit ‘fore you heard it/So you formed your verdict/While you sat with your arms crossed/Did your little reaction videos and talked over songs (chill!)/Nah, dog, y’all sayin’ I lost it, your f****’ marbles are gone”
As a result of the track, Eminem’s social media fan base and other people involved have turned into a wild frenzy. Many of Eminem’s friends and fans have flocked to his defense. Most notably former labelmate 50 Cent, who went onto his Instagram and threatened the ex-Slaughterhouse rapper-turned-critic. “That was a bad idea, look you got a little ass whopping coming,” 50 Cent replied. “It’s not a big deal, you will get over it.”
In response to the diss track, Budden retweets a fellow music journalist @BlogXilla: “So Joe Budden stopped rapping and everybody and their momma started making diss records about him.”

Prior to Marshall’s diss track, Budden was the brunt of a barrage of insults from Atlanta rap trio Migos and Lil Yachty who even went to lengths to insult the program, Everyday Struggle, in the Quality Control music video for the song “Ice Tray.”
