On Friday, October 6th Galia Lahav unveiled their Fall 2018 Collection during New York Bridal Fashion Week. In the center of the venue hundreds of flowers hung from the ceiling, adding a sense of romance to the atmosphere.
In their latest collection, Galia Lahav stayed true to their love for glitz and glam. There was plenty of sparkle, beading, and intricate lace to go around, however Lahav’s collection was also different from previous ones in that it featured several soft tulle gowns absent of any embellishments.
This was one of my favorite gowns from the collection and it didn’t need any appliqués or embroidery to make it special. The gown featured an off the shoulder neckline and layers of soft tulle falling in a high-low formation. Although contrasted by a pair of edgy, chunky white boots , the gown still created an elegant, ballerina-like vibe.
Galia Lahav may have illustrated some subtlety throughout their collection, but they’re best known for gowns that sparkle as much as the bride’s engagement ring. This look reminded me of a 1920’s flapper. The dress featured strands of silver beads that hung from the ensemble and swayed as the model walked.
Although it may seem impossible, this gown was even more beautiful in person. The several tiers of tulle seemed to float as the model sauntered down the runway. The dress featured a plunging neckline and a bodice adorned with white floral appliqués.
Whoever said you can’t be sexy and covered up has clearly never seen Galia Lahav. This gown perfectly exemplifies the designers’ ability to create a feminine, sensual look without having to show too much skin. This long sleeve gown was covered with patches of white lace and featured a Victorian-style mock turtleneck.
Galia Lahav’s Fall 2018 Collection combined soft, romantic touches with sexy, revealing details. It can be difficult to combine these aspects and still create a stunning, high-end wedding gown. However, Galia Lahav is doing it and doing it well.
