Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood‘s fourth season ushered in a host of new characters. However, the most colorful person on the show is Zellswag. During a recent interview with Hollywood Unlocked, Zell discusses how he became involved with LHHH and his journey in Hollywood.
Lazell Shaw aka Zellswag is a celebrity stylist, known for dressing celebrities like Keyshia Cole, K. Michelle, and Remy Ma. He’s dressed a lot of reality television stars including LHHH‘s Moniece Slaughter, and Basketball Wives‘Brandi Maxiell and DJ Duffey. He got his start as a stylist, by working on Real Housewives of Atlanta.
He later met infamous celebrity stylist Joe Exclusive online. Joe has worked with Black Hollywood’s most elite, A-list actresses and music stars. After visiting Joe, he decided to stay in town and the two began a relationship and a business partnership.
Though Zell was in a relationship with Joe, he also expresses that he was never attracted to him. The two had fun and made a lot of money together, but Zell often would act out the sexual part of their relationship with other men. The relationship came to an end after many physical altercations and disagreements.
Zell went on to be a solo stylist and worked with a lot of reality stars and music artists. Originally, he and Joe were people of interests to appear on LHHH, but they were passed over. However, Zell managed to capture the attention of producers one out on his own.
During the show, he’s had conflicts with a couple of the other cast members. His main enemy is television personality and event coordinator, Mr. Ray. The two have been involved in numerous altercations that started off civil and ended in one or the other jumping up or throwing things. Rumors have come out that another altercation broke out between Zell and Ray during the reunion.
The rest of the interview goes into Zell’s relationships with the other cast members like his feud with Masika Kalysha. In all, what we learn about Zell is that he’s a serious celebrity stylist, whose over-the-top personality is not just for show.
