Pop music sensation, Madonna, has just announced that she will be releasing a brand new live album and film from her recent Rebel Heart Tour.
The Rebel Heart Tour was directed by Jamie King, with musical direction by Kevin Antunes, and took place across 55 cities on four different continents over seven months. Madonna performed a total 82 shows during the tour, plus a special “Tears Of A Clown” fan club show in Melbourne, Australia.
Danny Tull and Nathan Rissman, both of whom have worked extensively with Madonna in the past, co-direct the Madonna: Rebel Heart Tour film which will feature some of the artist’s biggest hits performed around the globe, as well as previously unreleased material and behind the scenes footage.
It will also feature a 22-track album that spans the superstar’s illustrious career, including songs from her most recent, chart-topping album to classic fan favorites. Longtime fans will also enjoy some of the new interpretations of some of Madonna’s timeless hits.
Produced by Live Nation Global Touring, The Rebel Heart tour grossed $169.8 million with more than one million in attendance—making her the top grossing touring female artist in the history of Billboard Boxscore, with more than $1.41 billion in ticket sales sold over the course of her career.
Madonna: The Rebel Heart Tour will be released by Eagle Vision on Sept. 15, 2017, and is available on digital download, DVD and Blu-ray complete with bonus content, and an audio CD of highlights from the much-heralded tour.
