Next Up: Love & Hip Hop Miami

VH1‘s #1 franchise, Love & Hip Hop has released a sneak peek for its newest addition, Love & Hip Hop Miami. The new installment follows the success of New York, Atlanta, and Hollywood.

Starring in LHHM are the original raining champs of South Florida Hip-Hop, Trick Daddy and Trina. Though some Miami artists like Rick Ross have come and taken Trick Daddy’s top spot in the port city, Trina has managed to remain the untouchable Queen. Joining the two are Rick Ross’ friend rapper Gunplay and we’re told that all of the members of Pretty Ricky will be in attendance. Apparently, Pleasure P is currently dating Shay “Buckey” Johnson, who was previously featured on LHHATL as the side-chick to rapper Lil Scrappy. There’s even talk that Scrappy may make an appearance on the show.

Some of the other cast members include Amara La Negra, Veronica Vega, Young Hollywood, Prince, Steph Lecor, Jojo Zarur and Bobby Lytes. Obviously, most of these names aren’t known to the general public. However, it will be interesting to see how these personalities interact with one another, and if any will be big enough to make the show stick.

One of the things that fans can appreciate is Mona Scott-Young‘s effort to make sure that there are notable names in Hip-Hop on her shows. More importantly, current names who have thriving careers in the present. New York and Atlanta started out with credible artists, however over time their careers either began to fade or the successful ones like Jim Jones jumped ship. Recently, they’ve added Remy Ma to New York and Keyshia Cole to Hollywood, two women who have current day hits. However, the show has also served as a launch pad for the careers of up-and-coming artists like K. Michelle and more recently Cardi B.
