NYFW:Tom Ford Women’s Collection

Tom Ford takes us back to the roaring 90s for his Spring/Summer 2018 Women’s collection.

Tom Ford is known as the king of sexy for a reason, and this latest collection is just another testament to why he has mastered his craft. NYFW kicked off last night with Ford’s latest womenswear collection and there were some heavy hitters in attendance.

The queen of New York Fashion and Editor in Chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour was front row to view the latest designs as well as Russell Westbrook, Chaka Kahn, Ciara, Kim Kardashian West, and daughter of legendary actor Sylvester Stallone, Sistine Stallone.

The models strutted the runway with the 90s inspired hairstyles, side-swept bangs and french rolled up-do’s accentuated the sleek and sultry looks. The collection featured bodysuits, relaxed trousers, and many trench coats, blazers, and jackets with exaggerated shoulders and puffed sleeves. Our favorite looks from the collection (pictured below), blended chic tailored business-like looks with the sultry femininity for which Ford is known.

Ford’s collection is full of bright colors such as yellow and fuschia which make the tailored sexy looks somewhat playful. The collection seems to be an updated version of the looks that made Ford so famous during his tenure at Gucci.

After the shows, the stars came out for one of the hottest after-parties of the season. Russel Westbrook and Ansel Englevort playfully posed for a photo together, while Kim Kardashian West struck a sultry pose in front of the pink “TOM FORD” backdrop. Karlie Kloss laughed along with Derek Blasberg and shirtless models in track shorts as they snapped a pic in front of the wall as well.

Overall, the looks from this current season although very reminiscent of the 90s is updated, chic, and has the perfect mix of playfully sexy and casual. We look forward to seeing these clothes on the streets in the spring.
