Hot off of hitting Spotify’s New Music Playlist, Mat Kearney releases the new video for “Better Than I Used to Be.”
Crooner Mat Kearney is having a great kickoff to December. His newly released song “Face to Face” was featured on the Spotify “New Music Playlist” while his new video for “Better Than I Used to Be” (above) just released.
The Oregon native slid onto the scene in 2006 with his major label debut album Nothing Left to Lose, and since then has since released four feature-length albums. His last LP Just Kids, released in 2015.
His unique, laidback style, suits his sound of relaxed west coast reflections on life and love. Growing up in Eugene Oregon, and going to college in California, has undoubtedly had an impact on his musical groove.
Over the years Matt has toured with a number of artists including John Mayer, Kelly Clarkson, and Florence + The Machine. Having such a rich track record of being on the road makes his upcoming tour even more exciting.
In conjunction with his upcoming album Crazy Talk, Kearney will be launching the “Crazy Talk Tour” featuring recording artist Andrew Belle. The artist was excited to announce the tour to his 68k Instagram followers in late November.
The two-month-long tour, will kick-off in Spokane Washington on February 19th, and end on March 8th in Dallas Texas. A voice that is a mix of Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and a melodic swagger akin to Macklemore, Kearney and his guitar will find a permanent place on your playlist.
