Russell Westbrook was on fire when the Oklahoma City Thunder faced the Orlando Magic last night.
The Oklahoma City Thunder faced off with the Orlando Magic Wednesday night, and although they lost 108-121 to the Magic, Russell Wilson showed significant drive while shaking the Magic defense.
The 29-year-old point guard scored 37 points last night in addition to 11 rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Following the game last night Westbrook was sent for a precautionary x-ray for a possible injury to his left hand. The x-ray reportedly came back negative, and he was at practice Thursday.
Although he practiced with the team Thursday, he is being considered probable for Friday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Thunder who have a record of 8W-12L, need Westbrook to pull out a win against the Timberwolves who have a current record of 13W-9L.
If Westbrook can get the rest of his team to play on the same level he displayed on Wednesday; they just may have a chance at beating the Timberwolves at home in Oklahoma City.
