Watch: Yankees Fall Short during Late Rally

The New York Yankees found themselves trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the ninth tonight against the Houston Astros.

And the drama built up for a great ending to an early-season game.

With two outs and runners on second and third, Gary Sanchez singled to left field. One run scored, and Jacoby Ellsbury rounded third base.

A laser throw from left fielder Jake Marisnick hit its target, and Ellsbury was tagged out at home to end the game.

If baseball fans’ wishes are answered, more of these types of plays will happen well before the World Series.
