WEtv recently announced the return of its hit reality show, Mary Mary. The show is coming back for its sixth and final season. And a lot of unanswered questions will finally be addressed.
The series follows the lives of the award-winning Gospel duo Mary Mary, which is comprised of sisters Erica and Tina Campbell. Over the past few seasons, they’ve dealt with infidelity, betrayal, depression, drastic business decisions, and the possibility of solo careers. We’ve Now, they’re back to close out the last chapter of their run on television.
Last season, tensions were high between Erica and Tina, leaving fans to wonder if they would ever come back together as a group. Meanwhile, their younger sister and stylist, Goo Goo, contemplated whether or she wanted to retire as a celebrity stylist and pursue her true dreams. Season 5 reached over 12.7 total viewers and was the #1 cable program in its time slot among African American women.
Mary Mary was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Reality Program/Reality Competition Series earlier this year. The NAACP Image Awards celebrates the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature, and film and also honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors.
