Brazilian stars Neymar and Philippe Coutinho are two incredibly skilled players at the top of their game right now. Not only are they great players but they’re also great friends. Neymar and Philippe Coutinho are the same age (23) and they have come up through the ranks of the Brazilian national team together.
That’s why it should come as a surprise to no one that Neymar wants his friend Coutinho to join him at FC Barcelona.
Neymar was just named the new ambassador of Gillette in Latin America and he spoke with the media about which Brazilians fit Barcelona’s style the best. Neymar pointed out that a lot of Brazilian players have quality which is obvious but the one player he named in particular was Philippe Coutinho.
“I see many Brazilian players with quality today.”
“But one that I like and I think could play here is Coutinho. He has the style of Barcelona.”
Barcelona have already snatched away one of Liverpool’s best players in Luis Suarez, could Philippe Coutinho be next? Neymar certainly has a point of Coutinho fitting in at Barcelona.
Coutinho is an absolute playmaker and gamebreaker. He can play the short passing style of Barca but he can also pick out a pass and unlock a defense.
Coutinho is brilliant. Plays the pass when Milner is 8-10 yards away from the spot. Unreal weight of pass pic.twitter.com/n5SnQGJ42X

On top of that he’s scored some great goals from long distance.
Barcelona would likely have to pay Liverpool a huge sum of money just like they did for Luis Suarez.
Barcelona’s transfer ban will be lifted in 2016 but a bid for Coutinho in the January transfer window seems unlikely. At some point Barca will have to look towards the future and bolster their midfield even more once Andres Iniesta retires in a couple of years.
Coutinho has all the makings of becoming the next Iniesta and putting him in a midfield with the likes of Ivan Rakitic and Arda Turan would make their entire team unstoppable going forward.
