Mos Def helps Vogue Paris Celebrate 95 Years of Fashion

Vogue Paris celebrated 95 years of delivering fashion, beauty and culture by throwing a Let’s Dance party and celebrities from all around showed up to celebrate with them this weekend.

The French edition of Vogue was first issued on the June 15th in 1920 but on Saturday October 3rd the editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris Emmaneulle Alt and CEO of Condé Nast France, Xavier Romatet brought together stars of the fashion world to celebrate 95 years of Vogue Paris at Place Vendôme in Qatar.

On the designer guest list was none other than Kanye West, who made it known that he was there just to party. When Elizabeth Paton of The New York Times asked what he was looking forward to West replied, “Drinks, drinks and more drinks. That’s what I’m feeling tonight. Let’s get on with it. It’s time to get this party started.” Clearly his pregnant wife Kim Kardashian was not around but she was smart enough to have mommy-in-law Kris Jenner chaperone for the night.

After enjoying the Dior show the day before, Rihanna attended the party in full relax mode stating, “Even here at a Vogue party, people get a bit crazy and it’s kind of overwhelming. I’m just here to have fun.” Kendall Jenner also joined in the fun giving her Miley Cyrus impression along with Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas. Zoë Kravitz was also in the crowd along with Mos Def who sported a noticeable band-aid on over his eye.

British fashion designer Christopher Kane thought this was a perfect way to end Paris Fashion Week stating, “I just feel this huge sense of relief that my collection is done, although I’ve already started working on pre-fall. I thought this was be a perfect night off.” Jason Wu also took the night off to hang out with models Daria Strokous and Kati Nescher.

The best of  the Paris fashion world was at the celebration along with US Vogue News Director Mark Holgate and Fashion Market/Accessories Director Virginia Smith. Everyone had a great time at the packed party as all models and designers topped off the night by rocking out to Madonna’s 90’s hit Vogue. Let’s Dance!
