Fans of Bob’s Burgers, created by Loren Bouchard (Home Movies) and produced and written by H. J Benjamin and Jim Dauterive (King of the Hill) Fox Broadcasting Company, can look forward to a two-season renewal of the hilarious animated series.
Months before the show’s current sixth season of Bob’s Burgers began airing on September 27th on Fox, the cast disclosed that the sixth season would be the last.
However, on October 7th, David Madden, president of entertainment for Fox Broadcasting Company, made an exciting announcement regarding the smart, inventive series and a two-season renewal. Madden had only good things to say about the witty, smart, inventive series:
“Six seasons in, the Belchers have become one of America’s most beloved TV families and we are so happy to keep them in the fold for another two seasons…[Bouchard], [Dauterive] and the brilliant voice cast continue to surprise us in the best ways.” (Find out what else the cast, producers and Madden have to say about the surprising renewal on variety.com.)
Bob’s Burgers centers around hamburger joint owner Bob Belcher, his eccentric, excitable wife Linda, his awkward 13-year-old daughter Tina, his off-beat 11-year-old son Gene, and his scheming, confrontational 9-year-old daughter, Louise.
Other characters that appear in episodes regularly are just as unique and quirky as the Bob and the rest of the Belcher family. It’s the relationships Bob has with his family, friends, customers, rivals and the health inspector who is constantly out to get him and his restaraunt.
