Fantasy Football Inactives: Week 7

Fantasy Football is reaching a critical point in the season with Week 7 upon us. It’s time to put the depth of your teams to the test with another edition of Fantasy Football inactives.

Here are the players who have been ruled out before Sunday:

CB Joe Haden (concussion, out); CB Chris Culliver (knee, out); CB DeAngelo Hall (toe, out); CB Keenan Lewis (hip, out); DE Chris Long (knee, out); LBDeAndre Levy (hip, out); LB Kiko Alonso (knee, out); QB Tyrod Taylor (knee, out); QB Michael Vick (hamstring, out); QB Marcus Mariota (knee, out); RBKarlos Williams (concussion, out); RB Bilal Powell (ankle, out); TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (shoulder, out); TE Brandon Pettigrew (knee, out); WR Percy Harvin (not injury related, out); WR Sammy Watkins (ankle, out); WR Marquise Goodwin (ribs, out); WR Marqise Lee (hamstring, out); WR Cecil Shorts(hamstring, out); WR DeSean Jackson (hamstring, out); WR Harry Douglas(ribs, out); WR Victor Cruz (calf, out); WR Nelson Agholor (ankle, out)

Here are the players that you need to monitor closely before kickoff.

RB Adrian Peterson (Illness, questionable):

Fantasy Football owners may have been slightly worried about Adrian Peterson getting downgraded to questionable on Saturday. Peterson has been suffering from an illness recently but he will be expected to play for the Vikings against the Detroit Lions this Sunday.

RB Dion Lewis (Abdomen, inactive):

It is highly unlikely that Dion Lewis will be able to play against the New York Jets on Sunday. Lewis has been nagged by an abdomen injury but the Patriots will still see if there’s a possibility he can play before kickoff. If not, be sure to have LeGarrette Blount ready to go in a crucial AFC East matchup.

TE Jordan Reed (Concussion, questionable):

Jordan Reed has missed some time due to a concussion but he will be able to return this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jordan Reed is absolutely a player worth starting across all formats with DeSean Jackson still injured.

WR Jeremy Maclin (Concussion, questionable):

Chiefs receiver Jeremy Maclin will be good to go against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Despite Alex Smith and Andy Reid’s unwillingness to air it out deep, Maclin should hopefully catch a touchdown pass with Jamaal Charles injured.

QB Ben Roethlisberger (Knee, questionable):

After missing multiple weeks, Ben Roethlisberger will likely suit up for the Steelers but it’ll be a gametime decision as to whether he gets the start over Landry Jones or not.

Head coach Mike Tomlin says he wants to wait for as long as he can before making a decision. Regardless of what the decision is, unless you’re an owner of Antonio Brown, playing Big Ben would be a risk.

San Diego Chargers:

Four key players for the San Diego Chargers had potential injury issues leading up to their matchup with the Oakland Raiders this week. Keenan Allen (Hip, questionable) is expected to play today and the same goes for WR Stevie Johnson (Hamstring, questionable).

Both Melvin Gordon and Antonio Gates will be gametime decisions for the Chargers. Gordon is the one who is likely to miss this week so he can recover for next week’s game due to a lingering ankle injury. Have Danny Woodhead and Branden Oliver ready in case Gordon sits this one out.
