Cara Delevigne burst onto the scene as one of the heavy hitters for Storm Models when she signed with them in 2009. She quickly became one of the top A-list models in the industry modeling for every brand from Versace to Chanel.
Over the past few years, she has made her transition from the modeling world into the acting scene. Her first headlining role Paper Towns did alright at the box office, but her acting was enough to put Delevigne on the radar of some crucial eyes.
Since then she has captured roles in the upcoming comic book movie Suicide Squad alongside Oscar nominee Will Smith and Oscar winner Jared Leto as the witch “Enchantress”. She also snagged a cameo as herself in the fashion satirical comedy Ab- Fab: The Movie based on the wildly popular 90’s British Television show.
Since she has clearly been busy the past few years, she put her modeling career on the shelf back in 2014 but, some designers make you an offer you just cannot refuse.
It seems that the man of many muses himself, Karl Lagerfeld has coaxed Cara out of her hiatus if only for the Chanel eyewear campaign. The new spring summer 2016 eyewear collection features Delevigne in a pair of gorgeous over-sized, quilted shades, with a backward tweed baseball cap, against a neon background. Although this may be the only time we see her modeling for a while, we sure are happy to see her film career on the rise. The Suicide Squad movie is much anticipated, and with box office titans like Will Smith involved, we are sure it will be a smash hit.
