Luke Cage Returns
Netflix is bringing back Marvel’s Luke Cage for a second season. The initial run was beyond successful. This surprises no one that enjoyed the project.
When season one ended Cage was accepting responsibility for previous actions. The writers paused the tape instead of firmly pressing the stop button.
Cage’s coffee date may have been interrupted, but fear not he will get his sugar.
According to the show’s official Twitter account, it is all about progress.

Warning Season One spoilers are ahead.
The future contains plenty of loose ends. What does not remain is anything pertaining to Cottonmouth.
Internet theories abound regarding how the conflicted villain can find his way back to Harlem.
The fact is Cottonmouth is dead.
Unless the writers involve him using flashback sequences i.e. Black Mariah, it’s a wrap. As the sign on Pops Barbershop says, it’s about moving forward.
Cottonmouth’s death was the best and worst thing about season one and it will be debated for years to come.
There are many reasons why life goes on.
With Cage involved in upcoming seasons of Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and The Defenders, there is very little room for creators to push backwards.
In fact, most of the glory will be earned in how they make all of this come together at some point.
As a matter of fact, the big earner in all of this is actor Mike Colter. Coming into the role, many doubted that he had the chops to keep Cage street without exploiting the obvious stereotypes.
We salute Netflix for being so aggressive with these characters. These stories are dripping with blood, pain and triumph. They are more than cult favorites.
There is more to Marvel than Spiderman and The Avengers.
A timetable is not set on Season 2 but never fear there is a lot more Luke Cage coming over the horizon.
