When the 2017 line-up of the Coachella Music & Arts Festival was announced, it was met with thunderous applause by music fans everywhere. The diverse lineup featured headliners such as Radiohead and Beyoncé among others.
Just after that announcement came word that Beyoncé was pregnant with twins.
In the wake of the latter, the swirl immediately began about how she would pull off a show in the California dessert in such a condition.
Everyone has their answers now as she will not stand tall as she did at the Grammys.
Instead she has agreed to forgo this year’s run in favor of the pimp spot at the 2018 festival.
The safety of the mother and the unborn children is paramount. But best believe that with more than a year to plan, the Queen of Pop will put together nothing short of a spectacle for those that waited.
The dates would have marked her first time performing at Coachella although she has supported sister Solange and husband Jay-Z in the past. She was also in line to become the first female headliner of the influential event since Bjork threw down in 2007.
That being said, all is not lost as Kendrick Lamar, Lorde, Future, DJ Khaled and Father John Misty are also on deck.
