Pop balladeer John Legend is a soft-spoken dude that is known to make a point from time-to-time.
The creative force that emerged from Kanye West’s shadow and into the R&B marketplace has gone on to also make his impact in film.
Quietly, John Legend has become what so many aspire to be and that is a triple threat.
While on the red carpet at Time Magazine’s Time 100 event, Legend unleashed his opinion on the current occupant of the White House.
According to a quote provided to USA Today, Legend has zero love for the person that controls the nuclear launch codes.
“He’s manifestly unqualified, not curious, not good at legislating or really anything the job requires,” he said. “He doesn’t have any depth about any subject. And he’s also using the office of the presidency as a way to make money with himself with his businesses, so he’s corrupt. I can’t say anything nice about the guy, I think he’s one of the worst people I’ve ever encountered in public life.”
It wasn’t the first time that the hitmaker drilled the former host of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice.
Back in January, Legend stated that he feared what was to come.
“We’re going through a period where Donald Trump has promised to make us a less just and less free country, and those who believe in justice and freedom are going to have to stand up for it,” he said.
Sounds like the current administration didn’t get the “Green Light” from John Legend.
