Rancid Remains Punk’s Trouble Makers

Bay Area ska-punks Rancid are on the way back with a new LP.

Bay Area ska-punks Rancid are on the way back with a new LP. Trouble Maker is due on June 9 via Hellcat/Epitaph Records.

The band’s ninth studio album and follow-up to 2014’s touted …Honor Is All We Know was produced by longtime producer and Epitaph founder, Brett Gurewitz.

Based on the power of Trouble Maker’s first video “Ghost of a Chance,”Rancid has not lost a step in their career that has lasted longer than 25 years.

With a lengthy past that dates back to the underground legends Operation Ivy, Tim Armstrong has always put out spirited music that also reeks of inspiration.

Much like Young Jeezy in hip-hop, Armstrong’s voice serves to propel those that need a leg-up into capturing their version of the brass ring.

As they prepare to hit the road in support of Green Day, the band has begun taking pre-orders for their new disc at their website.
