On a recent episode of T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, T.I. and Tiny got into a disagreement. Towards the end, the rapper “bossed up” on his wife and put his foot down. The topic of discussion was the possibility of Tiny going on the road with Xscape and taking their daughter with her.
T.I.’s feathers were ruffled when Tiny mentioned that if a tour with Xscape was to take place she wanted their almost one-year-old daughter, Heiress, to accompany her. He was very supportive of the idea until the issue of their child was brought up.
Needless to say, T.I. wasn’t having it. He made himself perfectly clear that a tour is no place for a child. He also implied that Tiny was being selfish and not putting the needs of their child over her own. At the end of the discussionT.I. threatened to shut the whole thing down if Tiny persisted.
This incident was just a sample of what arguments between the couple might look like. There have always been rumors that T.I. might be a little controlling and played a big part in Tiny’s decision to stay home with the kids and out of the spotlight.
For the last couple of years, she’s steadily come out into the public more and more. Especially, since they’ve had their hit reality show on VH1. Apparently, it took a separation for Tiny to realize that she’s too talented to just be a housewife.
This is not the first time that T.I. has stood in the way of something in Tiny’s life. When Tiny’s group Xscape reunited back in 2005, he had a hand (big or small) in her deciding not to continue with the rest of the ladies.
It was also reported that he shut down the Tiny and Toya reality show on BET to set up their own show. However, the public has never seen the two have a serious disagreement until last night.
In March of this year, Xscape revealed that they were planning to do some things as a group again. They made the announcement during a Big Tigger interview at the V-103.3 radio station in Atlanta.
Originally, they visited the station for Tameka Scott to publicly apologize to Kandi Burruss for lying about her groupmate’s romantic past during an interview. Basically, Tameka claimed that Kandi had sex with a whole bunch of men in the music industry that she didn’t have sex with.
Jermaine Dupri‘s father, Michael Mauldin, was one of the men on this false list. Only Kandi Burrus, Tameka Scott, and Tiny were present for the Big Tigger interview. LaTocha Scott was out of town on business but joined the group via phone.
T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle is currently in the middle of its sixth season. It airs on Mondays 10 PM EST/9 PM C on VH1.
