The Weeknd announced the second leg of his critically acclaimed Starboy: Legend of the Fall 2017 World Tour.
The tour, which is promoted by Live Nation, kicks off on September 6th in University Park, PA with stops in Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
Gucci Mane and Nav will join The Weeknd for all US dates with French Montana and Nav joining him in Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
The Grammy Award-winning artist released his fourth full-length studio album, Starboy, on November 25, 2016 through XO/Republic Records and was met with overwhelming success.
The album, which has been streamed over 5 million times and certified 2x-platinum, contains the title track which is 5x-platinum.
He is a musician in a category of his own. His artistry and vision push the boundaries of the music world and propel him far ahead of his peers.
He is an individual that refuses to conform to mainstream pop-culture. It is through this individuality that his audience has remained intrigued.
His latest video for “Secrets” showcases his desire for more. The visuals are complex and slicker than the average promo clip.
The opening shot shows a woman running as the camera makes an 180 spin. She is then seen floating down on a web surrounded by men in black robes.
The Weeknd seems to be watching her from a distance. He is seen in a glass elevator and looking down from a spiral staircase. The video has a very dream-like vibe, with the artist appearing to be a voyeur to the activities at hand.
The video is a champion of creativity and does what it must to captivate viewers. The project demands repeat views for full comprehension.
There are very few artists that possess a mixture of such talent and inspiration. When the two come together, something truly magical is created; and that is the artist also known as Abel Tesfaye. Be sure to see him live as it is, without a doubt, and experience that won’t be forgotten.
