So all you Earthdogs, Hellrats and Rivetheads get ready to rock out as we paint the town none more black on October 24, 2017!”

The site also hosts ‘Loudwire Nights.’ it is a radio show consists of 30 plus active rock stations throughout the country.

At the Loudwire Music Awards Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath fame will be presented the Courage Award. His status as one of the greatest heavy metal guitarists for one of the most iconic bands of all time has made him a permanent staple.

After getting diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2012, Iommi wasn’t sure he had another album in him. Not only did Black Sabbath release their last album 13, but they embarked on a farewell tour appropriately titled, The End Tour.

Iommi, whose own hand served as the original mold for the official Loudwire Music Awards “Hand of Doom” Trophy that will be presented to all winners and honorees, states, “Of all the funny things that I’ve done in my life — this was another one.

I was asked if I would do a mold of my hand so that they could make it into an award … I was very honored. I was asked to put my arm into this big bucket full of this colored gel, all was going fine until it set and then I found that I couldn’t get my arm back out! My hand started to cramp up and I thought oh no what now?

Anyway, after a considerable amount of pulling and twisting it eventually came out and the cast looked amazing, so much detail, I’m really looking forward to seeing the finished award. Thanks Loudwire, what’s next?”

Fans have rock ’n’ roll veteran Josh Bernstein for creating and producing the new Loudwire Music Awards. Bernstein has also produced the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, Rock ’N’ Roll Roast and the Alternative Press Music Awards.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to launch a brand new event that will properly celebrate the past, present, and future of hard rock and heavy metal. There is no greater rock n’ roll award show host than Chris Jericho. Tony Iommi and his hands of doom are responsible for the birth of heavy metal itself, so it’s only fitting that his trophy will get passed on to generations to come.”
