The American fashion brand Ralph Lauren will be transporting press and buyers to “Ralph’s Garage,” where the designer houses his collection of rare automobiles in Bedford, New York, for his runway show on Sept. 12 at 7 p.m., stated WWD.
Lauren chose to show his collection in his Madison Avenue townhouse boutique up against a stunning floral backdrop for is Spring 2017 show. However, after multiple store closures and job cuts, the fashion brand is on the hunt of a turnaround under new CEO, Patrice Louvet — expect the NYFW move to Bedford as a major moment. In addition, the show will be followed by a private formal dinner and guests are being asked to present themselves in black-and-white attire.
The brand will also be showing the Ralph Lauren Purple Label menswear followed by the women’s collection, in a form that will mimic industry trends. The show will then continue as a see-now-buy-now model showing the clothing of Fall 2017 that will immediately be available after the runway show.
While Bedford, New York, is about an hour away by car from Midtown in New York City, those who are attending should expect a long night. Despite the drive, it will certainly be worth it since attendees will get a sneak peek at Mr. Lauren’s chic car collection that features 1938 Bugatti Atlantic, 1929 Bentley Blower and an orange 1966 McLaren F1 LM along with multiple red Ferraris from the ‘60s, ‘70s and also the ‘90s.
This moment will mark the first time Ralph’s Garage will be opened for an event.
