G-Eazy,Camila Cabello & PVRIS Round Out August 4 Singles

Hot Summer Singles Heat Up the Charts

The summer singles are still coming in hot this week. There’s a mix of old school hip hop sounds and new thriving solo artists. Each week the immense talent is unwavering and making this list that much more impressive.

Bay Area rapper G-Eazy released a brand new breezy single called “Nothing Wrong.” The whole track is him telling the world no matter how crazy his lifestyle is he sees nothing wrong with hit. He can drink, smoke, find women to spend his time with and it doesn’t matter. The back beat intro has a 90’s hiphop vibe that is completely ear catching. It’s a song worth checking out.

Former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello dropped a new single “OMG.” Her song features Quavo in a hip hop heavy smooth track. This is Cabello’s first single as a solo act that turned away from her prototypical pop sound. She pulls it off well and having Quavo’s verse brings the song full circle.

PVRIS’s anticipated sophomore album release was pushed back to later in the month. In the wake of that news they released a new single, “Winter.” The song has the perfect mix of a hushed melody that explodes once lead singer Lyndsey Gunnulfsen tears into the chorus. It’s a great tease for fans who are eagerly awaiting the new album.

Juicy J dropped the next great summer club banger called “Flood Watch.” One thing the rapper has going for him is his voice sounds eerily similar to Ludacris. Juicy J has the same attention grabbing voice. “Flood Watch” also features Offset. The two heavily promoted and teased the single on social media. The payoff is a rewarding one.

Sleeping with Sirens released a hard hitting new single, “Empire of Ashes.” The song is off of their fourth album Gossip. Lead singer Kellin Quinn grabs the listener with a head banging sound that doesn’t quit until the closing notes. It’s a darker ride that is unapologetically fun.
