In the midst of his Pretty Girls Like Trap Music tour, 2 Chainz broke his leg. The injury was suffered almost two weeks ago at his daughter’s birthday party. In what seemed to be a bleak outcome for the future of his tour, 2 Chainz had surgery on his leg following the injury. When he woke up, he was informed by his doctor that he would have to cancel the Pretty Girls Like Trap Music tour until he recovered. Most any other performer would have heeded at the doctor’s request and canceled the tour; not 2 Chainz.
He wrote in an Instagram post saying,
“when I woke up from sedation the doctor told me ‘ well looks like your gonna have to cancel your tour, so I told him maybe it means God wants me to use my mind and be creative! So after all the morphine and pains meds wore off I called management and said somebody find me a ‘pink wheelchair‘ I can’t let my fans down besides I’m passionate about this shit!!”
It doesn’t look like the rapper will be letting fans down anytime soon. A pink wheelchair was found and 2 Chainz is officially back to touring and performing. He continued his tour on Wednesday (August 9) in Tucson, Arizona and has his next show on Friday (August 11) in Anaheim, California. In his instagram post, he went on to say,
“Tucson, Arizona thank you for supporting me and rocking with the campaign !! Show was legend !! If you look up resilient in the Webster dictionary it’s gonna be a picture of me rocking a fucking show in a pink wheelchair !! Remember never let anyone or anything get in the way of you being great ! If I can do it you can too.”
Ever resilient, 2 Chainz continues to push the limits (and now a wheelchair) as he cements himself in the music industry as one of the greatest rappers. His passion for his music and fans runs deep.
