It’s been a little over a year since the passing of Eagles co-founder Glenn Frey and, in the wake of their sets at the Classic East and West festivals, the band has started building out a new tour calendar. Frey’s son Deacon will now be a part of the lineup, which has also been joined by veteran country artist Vince Gill. Both Deacon Frey and Vince Gill appear to be hired members for the length of the tour, instead of tenured members of the band.
The tour has been dubbed “An Evening with the Eagles,” and is set to begin Oct. 17 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Tickets for the tour are set to go on sale to the general public Aug. 19 at 10AM local time through the Live Nation website. A pre-sale for American Express account holders begins Aug. 15 — also at 10AM local time — and runs through 10PM Aug. 18. VIP packages are also available for the shows. More information about tickets and packages can be found on the band’s website.
The Eagles will also be at Classic Northwest September 30th with the Doobie Brothers.
