LVMH, the luxury group that owns Louis Vuitton, is investing $60 million into rejuvenating a children’s park in Paris.
The park sits on the outskirts of the city of light and is 150 years old. LVMH is not alone in this investment. They are teaming up with a popular ski resort called Compagnie des Alps. According to WWD, their goal is to redesign the park’s website, add 17 new carousels, build a promenade, and renovate the park’s small farm.
This new project is meant to be a “cultural start up” and aims to increase interest in Western Paris, the area where the children’s park lies. However, LVMH and Compagnie des Alps will not be working on this rejuvenation alone. They have hired very talented landscape planners and architects to design plans for the new park.
In May, LVMH also shared plans to renovate an abandoned building in the same area and turn it into a museum in order to expand their empire.
While the renovations are sure to take awhile until they reach completion, we look forward to LVMH’s latest undertaking and can’t wait to see the finished product.
