Floyd Mayweather has collaborated with Phllipp Plein to create a capsule collection that will launch immediately after the fight this weekend.
Mayweather and Plein have been friends for awhile. Mayweather walked in the Philipp Plein Resort 2018 Show in Cannes, France. The champion boxer walked the catwalk along Plein to close the show.
Currently, Mayweather is preparing to fight Connor McGregor on Saturday in Las Vegas. While McGregor posted a photo of a custom Versace robe gifted to him by Donatella Versace herself, Plein has taken care of Mayweather’s fighting ensemble. Everything you will see him wearing has been personally designed and created by Plein.
There haven’t been many details of the collection released to the public yet, but here is a sneak peek of one of the looks as provided by British GQ:
This graphic drawing depicts a black short sleeve t-shirt with gold details on it. There are white burts of light, reminiscent of stage lights that are shined down on fight night. The Philipp Plein emblem can be found on the back of the shirt and on the sleeve.
This weekend marks only the beginning for Plein and Mayweather as four other collections are scheduled to drop over the next two years.
I know everyone is excited for McGregor vs. Mayweather, but I’m more excited for Plein vs. Mayweather.
