What a week in music! The end of summer weekly playlist has an ensemble of pop, rock and progressive house. The collection of songs each week grows in strength and the singles are unparalleled to any others. Kicking things off is…
Maroon 5 is back! “What Lovers Do” is their end of summer anthem that will shake up the radio airwaves as kids flock back to school. Adam Levine’s voice has become so recognizable over the years. As he croons out the catchy lyrics to this pop number SZA’s beautiful voice comes in and meshes with Levine perfectly.
Jason Derulo released a brand new song, “If I’m Lucky.” Derulo has produced some of the biggest hits over the last 8 years. Although “If I’m Lucky” isn’t quite “Whatdya Say” it is still very ear catching. It is the exact song a fan can expect from Derulo. The beat is infectious and soon listeners will be head-bopping to this tune without even realizing it.
Kaskade is on the scene this week releasing, “Nobody Like You.” The DJ and producer has been a consistent presence since 2001 when he released “What I Say.” After doing this for a decade and a half he’s perfected his craft with “Nobody Like You.” It’s a great club banger that is a nice touch to the progressive house circuit.
Irish pop rock band The Script released a high energy single, “Rock the World.” The song is a blend of rock with a fraction of rap thrown in there toward the end. It’ll undoubtedly blow up the radio. The Script produced the mega-hit “Hall of Fame” back in 2012. “Rock the World” will be a surefire hit to add to their resume.
Australian born and bred singer and songwriter Wafia released her fourth solo single, “Bodies.” It’s a slow and soulful single that showcases her voice. Her first major hit erupted on Soundcloud in 2015. She’s still making a name for herself. With a track like “Bodies” she should not have an issue with that.
