Macklemore Announces the Release of His Second Solo Album, ‘GEMINI’

Seattle rapper Macklemore recently released the details of his forthcoming solo album, GEMINI, his second full-length solo album in 12 years.

GEMINI will be released on Sept. 22nd, and is set to feature collaborations with Lil Yachty, Offset of Atlanta rap trio, Migos, Kesha, Skylar Grey, and indie / Blues rock band, Reignwolf.

Macklemore first announced the album back in June, with the release of his single, “Glorious,” a much more stripped-down sound that really accentuates Macklemore’s lyrical abilities.

“It felt like the right record to come back with,” Macklemore said via Instagram, “embarking on this new chapter of life.”

In July, he again treated fans to another cut from the album. “Marmalade,” is an energetic treat for fans of the Seattle rapper. Lil Yachty appears to have good chemistry with Macklemore, singing together on the hook.

The album also features several collaborators, including Foxy Shazam frontman, Eric Nally, Seattle-based singer, Otieno Terry, Lousiana rapper, King Draino, British R&B singer-songwriter, Dan Caplen, New Jersey singer, Donna Missal, Queens songstress, Abir, Washington (state) rapper, Dave B, Seattle rapper, Travis Thompson, Oldominion-affiliated rapper, Xperience, and multi-instrumentalist, Saint Claire.
