Singer/Television personality Tamar Braxton might be homeless. Well, not actually, but she’s still losing her home.
She and her husband, Vincent Herbert, are reportedly selling their extravagant mansion located in Estates at The Oaks in Calabasas, Calfornia. The estate is 13,716-square-feet, 7 bedrooms, 9 full bathrooms, with 2 half bathrooms. dwelling for $15 million. They are allegedly selling the property for $15 million.
The couple originally purchased the property back in 2013 for $10.5 million. It includes a pool, gym, home theater, spa, 12+ car garage, and a recording studio that Tamar and Vince added. However, public records that there have been several notices of default filed and subsequently canceled against the property.
Coincidentally, all of this comes months after Vince was ordered to pay Sony Music Entertainment over $3.7 million regarding an advance back in 2013. The judgment came after Vince failed to respond to a lawsuit. Sony filed for a motion default judgment, which explained that Vince was served with legal documents and never responded. They were given the default judgment for $3.4 million plus interest.
Vince is being accused of taking Sony and Interscope Records for a ride. Interscope was supposed to give payments due to Vince after he left to Sony, for the company to recoup the advance that they gave him. However, Vince stopped Interscope from paying Sony and directed the payments to himself.
Though Tamar and Vince, have both been in the entertainment industry for most of their lives they didn’t step into the public eye until WE Tv‘s Braxton Family Values, which resulted into their own spin-off, Tamar and Vince. Before the show, Vince was a record executive, manager, and executive producer. Tamar was a former group member turned. Tamar was a former background singer, who used to be in a group with her sisters and a solo recording artist. For years, she continued to work as a background singer for her sister Toni Braxton, as well as wrote and sung background for other artists like Lady Gaga.
Tamar is currently promoting her newest album, Bluebird of Happiness. She claims that this will be her final album. She also says in interviews that she doesn’t owe anyone money, it’s Vince that’s in debt to Sony.
