The Miami Dolphins could be in the process of blowing up their squad.
As Halloween got underway, the Fins decided to gift wrap running back Jay Ajayi and ship him off to the Philadelphia Eagles for a fourth round pick.
Despite playing behind an offensive line that lives up to the term offensive, Ajayi has been a critical piece to the Dolphins team in each of the four games that they pulled out.
Ajayi has rushed for 465 yards rushing and is averaging 3.4 yards per carry. Those numbers are not eye-popping but when you factor in the fact that they include two 100 yard games, it shows that he can be a force when he’s in a huddle that is not playing from behind.
With today being the NFL trade deadline, Miami has signaled that Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry could be the next player to be exported out of the Sunshine State.
Despite being 4-3, Miami obviously does not feel that they will get it done this season. They also seem to feel as if they need to restructure the makeup of their entire club.
It will be interesting to see if others such as the often-injured Ryan Tannehill are also quietly being shopped.
There will be a lot questions answered at 4 p.m. today.
