Kylie Jenner has just inked a deal with fast-fashion retailer Topshop to sell her makeup range, Kylie Cosmetics, in their stores.
Kylie Jenner is quickly becoming the most bankable Kardashian/Jenner as her makeup empire, Kylie Cosmetics grows. As reported by WWD, Kylie cosmetics has inked a deal with British retailer Topshop to sell her cosmetics line in their stores.
Until now, her cosmetics line has been exclusively sold online, which made it insanely exclusive when new collections became available. In this new deal, the brand will be selling exclusive palettes at select top selling Topshop stores within the U.S. in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, and Chicago. Kylie announced this on her personal and Kylie Cosmetics Instagram pages.
One way Kylie has decided to keep her coins to herself is that she will continue to keep all online sales of her products on the Kylie Cosmetics website. Even the exclusive collection with Topshop will be limited to the select stores mentioned above. Although this will be disappointing to fans, it is one way Kylie can keep her brand somewhat exclusive.
Kylie may be keeping most of her sales online, but that is only temporary. She has already opened storefronts in New York as well as Los Angeles. The pop-ups with Topshop give the apprehensive consumer, who may not have tried the brand yet, to be able to buy and test the products in person.
This plan also gives the brand a chance to gauge consumer demands in those areas which would help them choose where to open their next brick storefront.
Kylie is only at the tip of her twenties and has already built herself an empire. It doesn’t seem like the young mom-to-be is slowing down anytime soon.
