Marvel Comics most beloved parasitic alien Venom will make his next big appearance on the big screen next year October 5, 2018. The fresh interpretation of the character will lead down new paths never before seen in any medium.
Ruben Fleischer will direct the Venom movie. Ruben is known for other movie titles including Gangster Squad, 30 Minutes Or Less, and Zombieland. His wide range of film techniques will bring out the full potential to the deadly parasitic alien.
Tom Hardy will take the leading role of iconic Venom host Eddie Brock. The two may at some point merge within the premise of the story. The story has yet to be revealed in full but there is a wide range of source material to process with Venom.
Multiple story arcs have come through the House of Ideas, which may play a role in the film. The comic depictions range from past to present what will this new movie bring to the dark wall crawler? Filming is already underway as the movie gains traction with the rest of the world. Creative film choices will bring the alien to the far reaches of the Earth.
Word has spread the movie may be separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and be a stand-alone film. The movie may never connect to other Marvel titles and characters especially Venom’s arch nemesis Spider-Man.
Venom first made his initial comic book debut in The Amazing Spider-Man #300 back in 1988. Creators Mike Zeck and Rick Leonardi shaped the character’s look and presence. Over the years Venom first started as Spider-Man’s black suit later to be the sentient alien we know today.
Over the years Venom has grown in popularity and has appeared in multiple platforms and mediums in the entertainment industry. Venom has made his mark in comic books, videogames, television, merchandise, and even the big screen back in 2007 for the release of Spider-Man 3 starring Tobey Maguire.
