The Oprah Winfrey Network‘s hit reality tv series, Welcome to Sweetie Pie‘s, is back for its fifth season. The show is one of the network’s long-running “docu-series” and an NAACP Image Award winner. It’s set to return on Saturday, November 25th.
The show features Miss Robbie Montgomery, a soul food restauranteur, and her son Tim Norman. The mother and son team run several restaurants in St. Louis and Los Angeles. Their staff is comprised of family, friends, and a lot of interesting characters.
In the new season, Miss Robbie and Tim will attempt to mend their relationship by dividing the family business. In the past, the two have disagreed over how to run their family enterprise. So much so, that a lawsuit has been thrown around. One of their issues is that fact that Tim feels the need to make decisions without Miss Robbie when she’s the proprietor.
Now, Time has his eyes set on opening a full-service restaurant in Houston. Charles and Chloe have followed him from Los Angeles to help set up the new spot. Tim has also brought in Monique from St. Louis to help manage the bar and live entertainment. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst when Hurricane Harvey hit Houston.
On a different note, Tim is receiving marriage pressure from his girlfriend, Basketball Wives‘ Jennifer Williams. The two have gotten pretty serious, however, we still don’t know if there are wedding bells in their future.
Back in St. Louis, Miss Robbie occupies her time by continuing to run Upper Crust, performing for her fans, and continuing to spend time with her grandson TJ. However, the arrival of her 77th birthday makes her consider retiring. But who will she pass her legacy to?
