Paris is a hotbed of culture that extends well beyond fashion. As Afrotrap’s MHD  and PUMA can attest to, everything is about both style and substance.

The wordsmith snagged a gig as a brand ambassador for Puma in April after watch his shine overseas on the back of the tribute track “Roger Milla.”

MHD may be Parisian, but his appreciation for greatness extends well beyond continental boundaries.

Dedicated to the soccer star that lifted Cameroon into the global spotlight at the 1990 World Cup tournament, the song has rocked outlets such as YouTube where it has earned over 40 million views.

It only makes sense for Puma to bridge a few gaps that they have at their disposal.

2017 is a milestone moment for both PUMA and the Cameroonian Football Federation (a.k.a. FECAFOOT).

The pair have been working together for 20 years. To crown this achievement, PUMA has designed a new home jersey/shirt for the Indomitable Lions.

MHD recently met with current members of the Cameroonian team. He vibed with professional players and others that rep Cameroon on the amateur level.

Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting (Stoke City), Benjamin Moukandjo (Captain of the National team), Fabrice Ondoa, midfielder Sébastien Siani (KV Ostende) and the Olympique de Marseille player, Frank Zambo-Anguissa.

The party would not have been complete without Milla himself to celebrate what felt like a true passing of the torch.

In a press statement Puma detailed what makes the shirt special.

“Designed to reflect the pride and passion of the fans and nation the shirt incorporates a modern and striking interpretation of the famous roaring lion crest into its design, “the statement reads.” A truly impactful emblem that will inspire and invigorate these modern-day lion kings to play with no fear.

The flag of Cameroon is represented on the collar, and that unforgettable green rekindles memories of the first time you pulled on the shirt and watched your home heroes on TV, that Roger Milla dance, that first time you felt real joy, your first passion.”
