British Vogue has unveiled their December 2017 issue, which is the first edition with Edward Enninful as the Editor-in-Chief.
The magazine cover features model Adwoa Aboah wearing a printed top and head scarf and well as bold, vibrant makeup.
Enningful described his vision for the magazine cover and for British Vogue as a whole saying, “My Vogue is about being inclusive. It is about diversity – showing different women, different body shapes, different races, different classes [and] tackling gender.”
The Editor-in-Chief wants all women to feel represented by the magazine, regardless of their race, sexuality, or any other factor. Enningful continued, “You are going to see all different colours, shapes, ages, genders, religions. That I am very excited about.”
After accepting the position at British Vogue, Enningful hired Naomi Campbell as a contributor for the magazine and she tweeted her praise for the latest cover and this “new Vogue.”
The December 2017 issue will be on sale Friday and will feature a 14 page spread of the cover star as well as an interview with Enningful and Aboah.
