The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Utah Jazz 100-94 thanks to big plays by Russell Westbrook.
Russell Westbrook has been on fire this season making some significant plays to put his team in the forefront of the league going into the holidays. Last night, Westbrook led his team to victory against the Utah Jazz.
Westbrook had an incredible triple-double game scoring 34 points, 13 rebounds, and 14 assists. The Thunder are on a streak winning their last three games in a row. Going into the holidays Westbrook is playing more defensively than ever, and it is pushing his team to a higher level.
The momentum they are gaining is putting the team in an excellent position to continue to pull themselves closer to the postseason. After the game, Westbrook spoke about the team, and the mindset they are working with going forward.
“Teams are going to make runs. It’s about what you do when you get hit in the mouth. We learned our lesson, and we know that we have to continue to fight, and we did that tonight.”
Nothing is ever written in stone but if the Thunder and Westbrook continue to play this hard, the postseason might be in the cards.
