Karl Lagerfeld held his latest Chanel Metiers d’Art fashion show at the Elbphilharmonie concert hall in Germany, which is where the designer was born.
Lagerfeld, famous for his outlandish shows, brought music to life as a full orchestra played their instruments while models strutted around the concert hall. 60’s fashion motifs influenced the collection with garments featuring tons of tweed, culottes, and hair netting.
Say hello to Chanel’s new signature shoe. This vintage looking heel features bow brooches with white, hanging pearls. Could this be the new “it” shoe to follow the extremely popular beige and black Chanel slingbacks?
Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford’s daughter, walked the Chanel runway twice. The first time she sported a gorgeous white tweed dress with opaque tights and a black cap. Her second look featured a navy blue knit dress and knit thigh-high leg warmers.
Lagerfeld didn’t shy away from color or pattern. This look had metallic thread stitched through the top and skirt.
Denim culottes represented 60’s fashion and brought a casual detail to this look.
Karl Lagerfeld took a bow at the end of the show while holding hands with Hudson Kroenig.
The show also had a star-studded attendance. Kristen Stewart arrived wearing white Chanel tweed trousers and a sleek trench coat.
Lily-Rose Depp wore a full black lace look with strappy, feathered heels.
Once again, Lagerfeld set the bar for what it takes to make a fashion show about much more than just the clothes on the runway.
