Chris Cornell’s Heartbreaking Christmas Video

His memory lives on

Chris Cornell’s family publicly shares a heartwarming video remembering the beloved musician, Chris Cornell.

Earlier this year we lost Chris Cornell, front-man of  The Soundgarden and Audioslave to suicide. This caused chaos among his fans as the world said a saddened farewell to the beloved musician.

Cornell was considered one of the inventors of the 1990’s grunge movement and is well-known as a songwriter. His voice set him apart from various other singers during the grunge-era and most certainly set the bar very high with his sky-scraping vocals. After all, there was no competition when it came to Cornell, as he was voted  “Rock’s Greatest Singer” by readers of Guitar World and from then on his name was constantly high-ranking in the public eye for years after.

Recently, with Christmas Day approaching his family decided to share a heartwarming video of Cornell with his son Christopher as a way of honoring him with fans in the midst of tragedy.

“Sharing a special Christmas video that Chris made with C 3 years ago for school,” Tweeted widowed Vicky Cornell. “While the holidays will never be the same again without Chris, we will always remember his boundless love. Happy Holidays & thank you all for your much-needed love and support.”

Within the three-minute video, we see Cornell holding his son and discussing some of the family’s most memorable holiday traditions and travels. As the video wraps up with a montage slideshow of pictures of what they enjoyed most around Christmas time and the many fun memories that radiate through each photo.

“After Christmas, we go skiing and snowboarding… and sometimes we go to Greece, and sometimes we go to Paris,” Says Cornell in the video. “And we just spend a lot of time with our family, and we spend a lot of time with our traveling because we do that a lot and that’s what we like to do.”

While heartbreaking to say the least, everyone can find closure knowing that his name will forever live on as one of the greatest in the Rock community.
