G-Eazy has been creating a name for himself in the rap game and now he’s getting his very own fashion collaboration.
It has been quite a good year for rapper G-Eazy, not only did he drop his latest album The Beautiful & Damned (inspired by the Fitzgerald novel) which is creating quite a buzz, but he also announced a North American Tour as well.
Furthermore, to top off all of his success he is now the latest H&M design collaborator and Ford Models very first signed rapper. Taking this leap into the fashion world puts G-Eazy among big names such as David Beckham and The Weeknd as they have both collaborated with mainstream brands.
Like other collaborations, the G-Eazy x H&M collection will take inspiration from the rapper’s personal style to create a range that is personal to him and his brand while still being marketable to fans. It has been rumored that tour merchandise will also be added to his collection. This collaboration is due to drop on March 1st in all H&M stores worldwide as well as, online.
Having dedicated an entire track to fashion week collaborating with a brand that is well known and mainstream like H&M worked out to be the perfect pairing.
In order to announce their collaboration, H&M interviewed G-Eazy. In their interview, we learned that G-Eazy has always had a special place for fashion. In fact, the rapper himself spoke about his love for fashion and using it as a way of expressing himself even before we knew who he was. He also discussed his love for combining streetwear that is a bit more tailored and punk rock pieces together.
There haven’t been any sneak peeks of this collection just yet, but with G-Eazy’s style being a mixture between punk rock and modern streetwear we can expect to see a wide range of styles from this partnership. In fact, we are predicting a few essential pieces with a twist of vivid hues and/or patterns.
Whether you are a G-Eazy fan or an avid H&M buyer this collaboration is sure to cause a huge buzz in the fashion and rap world.
