The Golden State Warriors have been on a hot streak all season as the leaders in the Western Conference and the Pacific division, but the Dallas Mavericks gave them an unlikely run for their money Wednesday night in a hard fight for victory.
The Mavericks haven’t been doing too well this season sitting 12th in the Western Conference with a 13-26 W/L record. The Mavs came out of the gate strong keeping right on Golden State’s tail until the end.
Harrison Barnes made one of the last plays for the Mavs tying things at 122-122, but, no less than ten seconds later Stephan Curry hit a three-pointer to clinch the win for the Warriors with three seconds left killing the Mavs four-game winning streak f
The Mavericks were hoping to gain some momentum coming into the new 2018 year off of their streak, but the current kings of the west were not having it. The Mavericks go on to play the Chicago Bulls on Friday, January 5th, at home. While the Warriors face off with the Houston Rockets tonight, January 4th in Houston.
