Various celebrities have united together to celebrate Helmut Lang’s legacy, including Kanye West and Solange Knowles.
It is no secret that designer Helmut Lang has a strong celebrity following. The Austrian designer has constructed a brand that people buy not just to wear but also to collect. To commemorate the fandom, Lang has unveiled his latest project by Exactitudes- a set of photos highlighting the brand’s biggest collectors throughout the years.
The collection of photos was shot by Exactitude founders Ari Versus and Ellie Uyttenbroek, featuring 12 diverse, multi-generational Helmut Lang fans wearing their own pieces from the brand along with pieces from Helmut Lang Re-Edition Volume 1 and 2.
Helmut Lang Re-Edition Volume 2 is a freshly launched capsule collection showcasing pieces from the brand’s archives. This marks the first time Helmut Lang Re-Edition Volume 2 is revealed to the public.
In the new campaign, Kanye West is spotted wearing his own Helmut Lang archive jeans paired with a new hooded parka and sweater from the Re-Edition Volume 1 collection. Knowles is then showcased wearing a Tom of England T-shirt and Helmut Lang by Shayne Oliver shorts.
The full line up of celebrities consists of Jimmy Grillo, Alison Marie Isbell, Yohana Lebasi, Grace Lee Gee, Kanye West, Dominik Halas, Solange Knowles, Eric Lawrence, Rhamier Auguste, Johnny Petrozzino, David Gagliardi, and Anna Santangelo.
The compilation of photos is a cool way of celebrating the evolution of the brand with celebrities who are true fans and admire the fashion-forward, timeless pieces the Austrian designer has created. The images for the project can be seen on Helmut Lang’s Instagram account or at helmutlang.com.
The Helmut Lang Re-Edition Volume 1 capsule is currently available in stores and online at helmutlang.com. Meanwhile, Helmut Lang Re-Edition Volume 2 will be available on February 6.
