The 75th Annual Golden Globes Awards took place on January 7th at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA. Most attendees dressed in all black as part of the Time’s Up movement, to show that they stand in solidarity with the victims of sexual assault in Hollywood.
Salute Magazine rounded up the evening’s best dressed list:
The This Is Us actress added a pop of color to the otherwise sea of black gowns and tuxedos. Her black satin Rosie Assoulin gown featured a bright red sash, dramatic train, and pockets. Moore tied the red band into her look by wearing a bold, red lip, and red drop earrings.
Millie Bobby Brown:
The 13-year-old Stranger Things actress looked amazing as usual. She wore a black satin Calvin Klein minidress with a low, ruffled back. She paired the dress with a slicked back updo, statement earrings, and silver glittered heels. If her style is this impeccable at 13, what is she going to wear when she’s 30?
The 35-year-old resembled a princess in this Dior Haute Couture ballgown featuring tulle with a nude underlay, and a thick sweeping panel of black velvet. She stunned with a classic updo and simple makeup. And that arm candy? Those diamond bracelets were loaned to Biel by Bulgari, which she referred to as her “sparkly best friends” on Instagram.
Sarah Jessica Parker:
SJP never disappoints and last night was certainly no exception. She wore a satin and lace Dolce & Gabbana dress with mesh sleeves and a fitted bodice. Her jeweled shoes were from her own collection, SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker. The designer and actress told E! in an interview,
“Its a privilege to work among women that I’ve admired for so long that I never even thought I’d get to meet. To see them do this sort of work and commit themselves is really quite something.”
The Fifty Shades of Grey star looked exquisite in this Gucci velvet gown which featured thin straps and an embellished buckle. The back of the gown stole the show, featuring glitter mesh and star patterned embellishments.
This red carpet veteran knows a thing or two about how to dress for an awards show, and last night was one of her most memorable looks to date. Jolie wore a custom Atelier Versace gown which featured a sheer overlay edged in dramatic black feathers. She walked the red carpet with her son Pax, not pictured.
Kerry Washington is just as much of a style icon in real life as she is on Scandal. The actress wore a strapless sequined gown with net, floral Roger Vivier booties.
Is it a dress? Is it a jumpsuit? Who cares, it’s so good. Pants were a common trend on the red carpet last night, and Alison Brie did it best. The Mad Men actress told E!, “Tonight is about women wearing the pants, so I chose to literally wear the pants.” Her jumpsuit was by Vassilis Zoulias and displayed a full skirt which split to reveal pants and black pointed-toe heels.
Heidi Klum wore an Ashi Studio strapless high-low gown which featured full embellishments and feathers at the top of the bodice. She accessorized with black strappy heels, black hoop earrings, and her hair pulled back in a French twist.
Robbie was battling the flu last night, but who could even tell? She wore a custom black satin Gucci gown with a plunging neckline and heavy silver beading and embellishments.
Catherine Zeta Jones:
Catherine Zeta Jones wore a sexy, black lace Zuhair Murad gown. The actress accessorized with hanging emerald earrings and a middle parted blow out.
Although some critics questioned her presence at the prestigious awards show, Jenner stunned in a high-low strapless Giambattista Valli gown. She accessorized with black and PVC t-strap heels and very minimal jewelry. She definitely made a statement at her debut Golden Globes.
